Village link upgraded
A popular footpath which links two villages in south Wales has been given an upgrade with a donation of stone from Penderyn quarry.
More than 400 tonnes of 0-6mm aggregate was provided for the Brecon Beacons National Park to resurface the Arcway path, a 2.5-kilometre former railway line which runs from Penderyn to Hirwaun.
The line was used to transport stone from the quarry until it closed in the 1960s and is now used by walkers, cyclists and horse riders.
