Stone donation is a fantastic feature for garden

A 400kg stone from Cefn Mawr quarry has given a team of green-fingered volunteers a central feature for a community garden.

The 1.2 metre-high limestone block has been placed in the cultivated area alongside the village hall in nearby Pantymwyn.

Manager at the north Wales’ site, Jason Parry, helped install the stone and said it was the quarry’s latest donation to the project.

“We provided them with some gravel and other large stones in previous years,” said Jason.
