Remembrance Day wreath-laying ceremony at Chipping Sodbury

This year, a new permanent memorial has been installed in the grounds of our Chipping Sodbury office complex, as part of our ongoing dedication to honouring and supporting the Armed Forces.

On Remembrance Day, team members gathered to lay a wreath and pay their respects to those individuals and their families who made immense sacrifices in service to their countries.

Among those that took part in the wreath-laying ceremony and two-minute silence were Aaron Smith, Regional Transport Manager, and Alice Gadsby, Assistant Management Accountant, who are both members of our Armed Forces Network.

As a forces-friendly employer, we have a number of employees who are members of the Army Reserves, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve and Royal Naval Reserve, and continue to support them by giving them time off work for their required training throughout the year.

In May this year, we re-signed our Armed Forces Covenant, reaffirming our commitment to being a forces-friendly employer and a fair, respectful and inclusive company. Signing the covenant recognises that former service personnel offer a range of transferrable skills that can make an important contribution to our business.
