Morgan Evans retires from Penderyn after 42 years
General foreman, Morgan Evans has retired after 42 years of service at Penderyn Quarry.
Morgan started at the quarry as a fixed plant fitter on the 26th January 1976. He was soon promoted to foreman fitter before being promoted once again to general foreman – a position he held for over 30 years.
During his time at Penderyn Morgan has seen 11 quarry managers come and go and processed over 20 million tonnes of rock, which has helped to build countless homes, roads and infrastructure throughout South Wales.
