Camera refitted to artificial nest in the hope two Osprey's return
A camera has been re-fitted to an artificial nest near the Ketton cement plant in the hope a pair of ospreys who used the site last year will return this spring.
The wireless device, which is triggered by movement, captured several dramatic pictures of the protected fisheating birds of prey during their time there last year.
Lloyd Park, of the Leicestershire and Rutland Wildlife Trust, monitors the nest and re-fitted the camera to it in March.
“It’s a good way of keeping track of its use and we are hoping the same pair will come back to breed,” said Lloyd.
